Dermal fillers simply means injecting tiny amounts of collagen
or fat underneath the scar depression. This will elevate the skin lesion and make it smooth.
The scars can be minimized but there is no guarantee it will work.
Dermal fillers are not a
permanent treatment for acne scars and the treatment is also expensive-
hundreds of dollars per session. Knowing how cosmetic surgeons work, they will
probably ask you to come in every few weeks until they have ripped you off a
few thousand dollars so that they have enough money for a down payment on a Mercedes.
Unless you have deep acne
scars and lots of money, this method is not recommended. You have to understand,
that anytime you get a surgeon to do a procedure, there is a chance that things
can go wrong. Therefore, you can end up worse.
